Setting GPS Ping Frequency
Modes is how GPS frequency is managed. GPS ping frequency has two components: a static update that happens at the same time every day and movement updates that occur when an asset is moving.
All devices are shipped in standby mode to preserve the battery life as the device leaves the facility (and it can be tracked!). It's recommended to adjust the mode to transport to ensure that if an asset is moved it will be captured.
Available Modes:
- Standby: 1 static ping every 24 hours
- Transport: 1 static ping every 24 hours and movement pings every 1 hour
- Monitoring: 1 static ping every 4 hours and movement pings every hour
- Theft: 1 static ping every 15 minutes and movement pings every 1 minute
